Hi, I’m Ferne! 🌿
I am a PhD candidate in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto in the Wagner Lab. I study how mate selection in plants acts to avoid inbreeding. I work with Heliconia tortuosa and its hummingbird pollinators, using a combination of field and camera data.
I am the co-founder of Heliconia Interactive where we build video games for undergraduate classes in ecology and evolutionary biology.
